This is a great family event. It is sponsored by the Arizona Route 66 Foundation, and is the first weekend of May. A cruise along the Mother Road from Seligman to Kingman with car show in Kingman. Next day, another byway cruise through Oatman and finishes in Topak. If you love to step back in time, enjoy classic cars and Route 66 then this is for you. See you there…

A greater roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) filmed along old Route 66 between Oatman and Kingman, AZ.
I was taking a panorama of the store along the road and noticed a bird making a clattering sound by one of the buildings. I took a closer look and saw it was a roadrunner. I got my camera to take a video and when I tried to slowly approach the bird it suddenly ran toward me. It was hard to video because it kept approaching so close. It must have been used to handouts from passing motorists.
As I was filming, another roadrunner that I hadn’t noticed on a window ledge, jumped off and joined the first. I followed them to the back of the store and videoed them both.

Route 66
This was Kelcie’s first solo performance on stage at the Louisiana Dance Masters Competition. She is 8 years old. Her music stopped and she was very brave and continued to dance. They let her come back on and perform again with music which is at the end of the clip.
01/23/2009 – Competed at Dance Teachers United, Got a Diamond Award and 3rd place overall Petite Soloist!
