I want to drive Route 66. I live near Chicago and I would like to drive it as far as I can. What major attractions should I see? Any good books and websites that you have personally used and can recommend would be great! Thanks!

Hiya,

I did Route 66 earlier this year, and it was amazing! The best site I found with both a detailed map, and really useful locations along the way including accommodation, restaurants, landmarks, history and sightseeing is UrWurld.com. Highly recommended!! :)

Well it winds from Chicago to LA
More than two thousands miles all the way
Get your kicks on Route 66

Well it goes to St. Louis
Down to Missouri
Oklahoma City looks oh so pretty

You’ll see Amarillo
Gallup, New Mexico
Flagstaff, Arizona
Don’t forget Wynonna
Kingman, Barstow, San Bernardino
