I was looking for a book that would guide me through the old Route 66. To show me where the old road actually is or was. This is not the book for that. It has many interesting pictures but not a good guide book. Sent it back. Was so disappointed

Well, if you want to know everything there is to know about Route 66 this book is for you. I found it extremely interesting and well written. It certainly will accompany me on my on my trip this summer. I like the way the author takes the time to talk about the people behind the counter, or in the motel or for example the story behind Our Lady of the Highway. I only wish that I could had spent the time to discouver the real value of the Mother Road like this author did.

Nice book for the history buff or old car collector. Purchased as a gift exchange item for our car club Christmas party. Great price compared to the book store.

This was a birthday gift for my Husband whom had seen a documentary which mentioned the book. He loves the book and is now very keen to travel route 66 when we next visit America.
