I tried to only drive about 10-12 hours a day and it took me 4 days. I wouldve probably gotten there in 3 days but I managed to make a few tourist stops at the Oklahoma City Memorial for a few hours one day and then another day, I had a minor car problem. I really recommend stopping there for a couple of hours and have a look at their memorial and museum. Also, while in Albuquerque NM, make sure you have a pit stop at Little Anita's. Its a mexican restaurant right off the freeway. It's very good food! Since it's a long trip, make sure you have the essentials...there are quite a few stretches of roadway with hardly any businesses in sight.
