Check around for recyclers, most large cities have them. By recyclers I mean like metal scrap yards, or large paper facilities. Thing is the paper places usually only accept a minimum tonnage. :( However, the cans you take by the bag full and get a better rate than the usual grocery store recycling bins.

I live in a large city in North TX, so these places are every where. Take a look around and make some phone calls, you’d be surprised what you find. However, you are not going to get rich off selling cans and paper from the average household accumulation. And the bins with the recycle logo on them are more convenient.
