I'm going to be driving in the area in March and have heard about the Roden Crater for years and years. The website rodencrater.org is down. Any info would be great.

Well it's been 30 years since Mr. Turrell started the Rodin Crater project and as far as I can tell it is still not complete. Sunset National Monument is in the same volcanic field as Roden Crater and that is worth the trip also you could see the Barringer or Meteor Crater up there.
Check out website below or you might already have. Pretty cool video too.

I was just in that area touring around in November and did not see any signs or anything about that crater on the map or from anyone we spoke with. We went to Sunset crater outside of Flagstaff.

Rodin Crater–nothing there yet.
Sunset Crater–fine for vulcanologists or tourists of volcanoes (extinct variety).
Barringer Crater–most easily accessed and developed meteorite crater. Impressive, and, for those with a Chicken Little complex, worrisome.
