Why do you like living in AZ?

Posted by: admin   in Kingman Az

I am moving to Arizona and want to know more about the area, specifically the Kingman area but I would also like to know in general how do people like living there?
Actually we are military. I spent my life in MI then moved to cali for only 4 months then moved to this crappy place called Jacksonville, NC and now we are moving to AZ. If that helps anyone. I love Michigan sooooo much but with all of the problems there (forclosure, jobs, ect…) we can't move back home so we are chossing AZ. I just whatn to know what it is like living there.

Yes, It is hot here in the Summer, but the winters are great. No snow or blizzards. Sorry! I don't know anything about Kingman, but there is a lot to do in the Phoenix area. It's only a 2 1/2 hour drive for either Cool weather in the summer, or Snow in the winter.

I have a few friends from the Michigan area that live here, and a few others (Friends of theirs) that are already planning to move here because they like it so much compared to Michigan.

You'll be close to Mexico, California and Vegas.

I don't live in Arizona, but my son does. I have been to visit and I really enjoy it and like being there. He likes living there and seems to have lots to do. The part that he lives in is very, very clean and kept up really well. Good luck to you and I hope that you are happy there.

Going from Michigan to Arizona, it might be a bit of culture shock .. Kingman area will at least have tree's .. more so then southern Arizona, but not as much as Flagstaff or Prescott.

If you wont miss the snow and don't mind the heat in the summer, you will be fine. Kingman has really grown since I was a kid and lived out there, but it is a nice area.Get use to mountains, cactus and Casino's!

Kingman is high desert, so temperature is high too!
about 110 miles from Las Wages lots to do there
about 40 miles from Luaghlin another casino town next to Colorado river..
Kingman is always growing.. not far from wooded area of Flagstaff Grand Canyon and Winslow the Eagles wrote about it in a song…

I would go to central California people are nicer their. AZ has low paying jobs AZ homes are same or higher than central CA. So if you have no job and a lot of money to play with AZ is good. Sorry but i don't like AZ I'm 24 maybe wen I'm 74 I'd like it. and don't say u r from Cali they act like its 1960 and you are black. Good luck where ever u move to

I personally dont like it here. It is super hott. The lakes are not near anything! They are in the middle of nowhere. It snows once every 7 years or so, and when it does its very little. You can find snow high in the mountains though. The heat is seriously unbearable. Its not too pretty because its desert. Theres not alot to do… no amusement parks or anything. There is a little kiddie asumentpark (castles and coasters) and some waterparks.
