I already have a job I have been with for 8 yrs and eventually the company will add one in kingman az and then I plan to transfer but It may not be for a year maybe less maybe more until then I wanted to buy a house while it is a buyers market is this possible or is what they say true?

My best friend lives and works in Long Island, NY and has been there for all of her life… recently, however, she purchased a home in Arizona in one of those adult communities (very lovely house by the way I've been there)…she does not have a job in Arizona but was able to purchase the home because right now she uses it as a vacation home and an escape home from Nay's cold and snowy winters… so, of COURSE you can buy a home in Arizona without actually working there…. or living there full time either….

What they say is probably true. If you are getting a loan and your application states it will be your "primary residence" at the time you close on that loan – then it better be your primary residence or the bank won't lend you the money. If you want to use it as a second home for now while you work in CA, that's fine – you just have to apply for the loan as a secondary home. Then, you can refinance after you transfer to AZ and get a loan perhaps at a cheaper rate as a primary home.
