what airlines fly from la area to laughlin,nv area

It’s mostly charter flights and timeshare sales pitch stuff. No major carriers go there.

Sun Country Airlines, which is the largest, is operated by a casino, but it doesn’t fly to L.A.

The media/news broadcasted it with the "first week of june(2006)" I guess in or on the outskirts of Vegas- at the test site – which will also encompass Mohave County AZ for the"viewing " of afffects to say the least. They said it was a non harmful experiment/test- just wondering if anyone has the info or links 2 sites on it. Thanks

Nuclear testing is experimentation with nuclear weapons. Throughout the twentieth century, most nations which have developed nuclear weapons have staged tests of them. Testing nuclear weapons can yield information about how the weapons work (known as "weapons related" testing), as well as how the weapons behave under various conditions and how structures behave when subjected to nuclear explosions ("known as "weapons effects" testing). Additionally, nuclear testing has often been used as an indicator of scientific and military strength and many tests have been overtly political in their intention, and most nuclear weapons states publicly declared their nuclear status by means of a nuclear test.

Nuclear weapons tests are generally classified as being either "atmospheric" (in or above the atmosphere), "underground". or "underwater". Of these, underground testing contained in deep shafts poses the least health risk in terms of fallout.
The first atomic test was detonated by the United States at the Trinity site on July 16, 1945, with a yield approximately equivalent to 20 kilotons. The first hydrogen bomb, codenamed "Mike", was tested at the Enewetak atoll in the Marshall Islands on November 1, 1952, also by the United States. The largest nuclear weapon ever tested was the "Tsar Bomba" of the Soviet Union at Novaya Zemlya, with an estimated yield of around 50 megatons.

I want to calculate if it would be more cost effective to heat the apartment with electric space heaters or turn on the heater.

Wow. The price of electricity in Flagstaff looks pretty complicated. It varies by season and also by time of day (whether peak hours or not). Here’s a chart:

http://www.aps.com/main/services/residential/rates/rates_29.html

The APS website has other links that might help you. They offer an Energy Analyzer that looks interesting. That should help you make a sound decision concerning your space heaters vs. heater. You can find the Energy Analyzer here:

Good luck! :-)

Can someone help me finding a route 66 map?

Posted by: admin   in Route 66

I need a detailed road map of route 66. Like all the exits and towns and the legend for the miles and such. I really need a map because I’m going on a bike trip all the way from Chicago to Las Angeles on that highway next year.
that I don’t have to pay for unless there is some shop in Denver, Colorado that holds one.

I did a Google search and came up with this site dedicated to Route 66 – http://www.historic66.com/
They recommend this map – http://www.historic66.com/books/book-8statemaps.html which you can order from Amazon.

i need some help with some driving directions , please
I know Mapquest ! Duh

I-17 North

michael, I am from california. i wanted to see if laughlin had jobs there?

Laughlin is very HOT, worse than Vegas. Most of the people live in AZ at Bullhead. But the jobs are hard to find anywhere in the state.

Lake Havasu, AZ. Housing market falling?

Posted by: admin   in Kingman Communities

Is it just me or is the housing market coming down drastically?!I’ve been looking at homes online and the prices seem muchhh cheaper than they were a couple years ago. We want to move there and for this moment, it’s a good thing for us!
Well we’re pretty young, 23, and aren’t having kids for several years. But what makes it such a bad place to raise a family? Not trying to be rude at all but just wondering what is so bad about it? I know there is a lot of partying but your kids don’t always have to subjected to that.

Yes the housing market is having some trouble and there are a lot of forclosures here just like everywhere else in the country. I don’t understand what would make you think this is not a good place to raise a family. I would not take my kids to the channel during spring break but other than that I see absolutely no problem. I live here and I love it. Your biggest concern should be employment. It is a fairly small town and much of the employment is construction which is in trouble right now (thus the housing situation) and the average income here is likely to be lower then you are used to. If you care to you can email me.

My friend won $8,000 dollars on the slots. She had 2 forms of ID and knows her social security number by heart but her card was in a filebox at home. She couldn’t collect her winnings. They said it’s a Nevada Gaming Law. It just didn’t sound right to me.

if it is over 1500 dollars yes plus another ID it has to be reported as income to the irs if you are not a us Citizen they will with hold I think it is 20 percent but they will give you a form so you can get it back. If it is less then 1499 dollars no you do not have to show ID unless you look to young

A good bar/club in Laughlin, NV?

Posted by: admin   in Kingman Communities

What bar or club is good in Laughlin for young people (in their twenties). I do see a lot of bars and clubs but usually see older people there. Also what are good places to visit during the day?

Loser’s Lounge at the Riverside is the place I have seen with the most younger people in it.

The Aquarius attracts a younger crowd in the casino as well.
